Red Dead Redemption 2 has become the talk of the town since last few days. It’s got one of the biggest releases ever for Rockstar games and not surprisingly, it’s the biggest release of this year. Ever since it’s announcement, PC gamers all eyed on the official announcement of it for Windows. However, Rockstar did a “rockstar” and it’s looking less hopeful that we could hear anything from Rockstar regarding the release of Red Dead Redemption 2.
MY FEED RIGHT NOW !!!
The HINTSS !!!!!!!!!!!
However, there are few hints regarding the PC release of Red Dead Redemption 2. Recently released Companion App of Red Dead Redemption 2 is now available to download on Android. When BlackScout, a user from GTA forums extracted the Companion App for data, we have found few unintentional hints that point towards the PC release. Here are few examples.
PARAM_FrameLimit – A framelimiter.
PARAM_DX11Use8BitTargets – Probably due to Xbox One.
PARAM_HDStreamingInFlight – Present in GTA V (PC)
PARAM_Oculus – Maybe it’s there because of LA Noire VR, maybe the PC Version will feature Oculus Rift and general VR support.
PARAM_cityDensity – I don’t know, maybe it’s in V but with another name
PARAM_companionAutoConnectIpPC – I think this confirms it.
Also, the official Rockstar Employee Linkedin account leaves a little hint in it’s bio.
However, it’s deleted now and it can be a mistake. When asked about the possibility of Red Dead Redemption 2 coming to PC last year, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick only had this to say.
Any updates about any of our titles will come from our labels.”
GTA V was released to PC 19 months after the release of console version. Yet, according to the stats, the PC version has made more sales than the Console versions. So, this is about it. Although there’s no official news, there’s a great chance of this happening.
