Solutions for Errors , Crashes and Bugs in OVERKILL’s The Walking Dead on PC:
Low Frame Rate and Lag issues in OVERKILL’s The Walking Dead Fix:
There could be a bunch of reasons for this. First of all, make sure that your PC meets at least the minimum requirements of the game. Close all background programs and ensure that in-game graphic settings are set to their lowest. If you’re experiencing micro-freezes or freezes that force you to restart your game or system.
You can alternatively try using software like Razor Game Booster and Swift Shader to improve the overall performance of the game.
Game Crashes on the Startup Screen Fix/ Stucks on Loading Screen :
The developers have officially released a new hotfix. So try to update the game. If that didn’t help, make sure that your drivers are up to date. Also, make sure that there’s no issue with your antivirus, sometimes they might come up with false positives.
Black Screen on Startup Fix:
This is a very small bug in the game and it has quite a silly workaround for this. Whenever the loading screen starts loading and it stucks with a black screen, click “Alt+Enter”. This should solve the problem.
Can’t Setup Multiple Monitors Fix:
If you are having a dual monitor setup, there’s a bug in this game. Game detects only the primary monitor and displays the game there. However, to resolve this,
- Go to desktop, Right click and select display settings.
- Now, you will be able to see your monitors
- The game will select monitor ID 1 as the default monitor.
- Now all what you have to do is switch the cables to make the desired monitor have the id 1.
No movement of Survivors in the Game Bug:
The bug is addressed by the steam community and presently the developers are working on this issue. Be sure that you update the game immediately once they provide a hotfix.
Bounting System Doesn’t Work Fix in Overkill’s The Walking Dead:
The issue could be with your firewall. Maybe it’s restricting the connection between your computer and the game servers. Make sure you white-list the game on your firewall.
Steam Updates are Slow/ Doesn’t update Bug:
Well, this issue remains unexplained by the developers. Make sure that you have enough empty space on your Hard disk drive before updating the game via steam. And also make sure that you have backup enabled all the time just in case.
